"Uh, well, I," Luke spluttered, as he struggled to figure out how to respond, but finding himself even more tongue-tied than before. The fact she was looking at him now somehow made it even harder. He could still see the dampness of her tears on her cheeks. Once again he diverted his gaze to the side, lifting his hand away from her shoulder. From there it found it's way back to his neck, rubbing nervously.
"Well, you..." he tried again, trying to calm down a bit and form some sort of reply, in spite of the difficulty.
"You're crying," Luke finally mumbled softly. Okay, that wasn't exactly the main cause of the worried expression that had apparently formed on his face, but it definitely didn't not have something to do with it, either.
