At first, Laharl had just remained on the couch, trying to deal with the mass of feelings. As similar as they felt to so long ago, the situation was very different at the same time. There was only the sense of loss and regrets. The feeling that there were things he should have done, that he hadn't.
After another hour or so, he did finally drag himself from the couch, but ended up just wandering around the apartment, a bit at a loss. He just wasn't sure what to do with himself
Then Flonne appeared. It had only taken a few words of explanation for the fallen angel to have comprehended the situation and had latched onto him, with tears in her eyes. He didn't admit it, of course, out loud, but her presence had helped.
Laharl was glad of her company in the end. Settled on the bed, in the bedroom he'd been sleeping in, he sat up against the pillows, wide awake. He really hadn't been able to get much sleep, unlike the fallen angel, who was fast asleep, curled up next to him.
