“They don’t have souls?” the rodent blurted out without taking into account others that may have been listening to their conversation. “Not that ‘souls’ are really anything other than a piece of that hullabaloo you’ve been trying to feed me anyway. They’re definitely missing something though.” He turned back to look at the man, no less frustrated than Tanaka himself. “I’ll give you that much.” Timon planted his paws onto his hips and let out a huff of hot air. “Where’s Vyers when you need him? He’d make a good guinea pig. Guess we’ll have to hold off on the demo till I meet up with him again.”
If he met up with him again. He’d been avoiding it for the past week, though certainly spoken with the demon. Timon suspected things to be awkward with many questions he wasn’t sure he was ready to face - likely to be followed by a lot of yelling on his part. Vyers had proved himself to be a miserable bodyguard, as well as a friend. To think he had actually thought of the demon as anything more than a mere stepping stone. How stupid of him.
He eyed Tanaka thoughtfully. “Have we ever been introduced?” he asked.
