Holding Out for a Hero [Active]
Character(s): MIO, Vincent Valentine
Content: Cotton candy, meet black licorice. (Oh, and MIO and Vincent are there too.)
Setting: Not too far from Muspelheim Gate
Time: Very early week 10
Warnings: None, unless MIO counts
The events of the day before had left MIO severely spooked - if it was the day before, anyway, in the total darkness it was impossible to say. She'd been yanked quite suddenly, by means unknown, into a strange place that most likely wasn't even on Zerard. Oh, sure, teleportation was possible, but not straight between planets, and talking about dimensions was... Anyway, either she was on a starship, or there was something else going on here.
She woke in the same darkness she'd fallen asleep in, and briefly wondered how long it had been. She'd managed to find her way into somebody's house, and quickly found that in here, her journal actually gave off enough light to see by, so apparently some of the folks on the network knew what they were talking about.
Cautiously, she moved to the window across the room, then turned off the screen and looked out. Of course, it was still dark as pea soup out there, or however that saying went. For a second she thought she saw a flicker of light, but it was gone so fast she dismissed it as her imagination. Sighing, she pulled the drapes tight again. When was it gonna be safe to go back out again? She could be in big trouble if the owners of the house returned, but then again they probably couldn't find their way through the streets any more than she could.
She was about to sit back down when a sound caught her ear. It seemed like it was coming from outside, so MIO cautiously felt her way to the door and opened it a crack. Seeing nothing (of course), she hazarded it a bit wider. "Um, is like, somebody there?" she called. It was amazing how scared she didn't sound, considering.
