"To tell you the truth," Refia confided, "I'm a little annoyed. I was supposed to help save the world before this happened." She worried about Xande, not to mention her friends. What if Xande had enveloped the world in darkness and...? No. It was best not to think about this right now, especially when there was nothing she could do about it, for the moment. And besides, Refia had some very capable friends. She was sure they'd be able to take care of it.

Refia smiled at the waiter as he brought their food, gratefully digging in (albeit as politely as possible; being hungry was no excuse for eating like a pig). It was delicious, better than anything the boys had usually caught on their travels. Then again, they'd been in the wild, and in a place like this, it was probably easier to be creative, where there were no apparent threats.
