That weasel of a girl had just managed to slip close by him and was on her way to the door behind when she felt a hand grabbing an ankle as she tried to throw herself to her feet. The resulting grip and weight on one leg made her trip and fall to her knees, but it wasn't long before she kicked out with her free foot.

"Let me go!" she yelled, completely forgetting that there were people who might take her words to mean she was in worse trouble than reality. All she could think about at the moment was getting him to let go long enough for her to flee properly.
