He'd known it wasn't going to be easy, and he was accustomed to being right. This, of course, did not mean he took any sort of pleasure in it.

So when the avalanche of Heartless flowed out of the open door, he wasn't particularly surprised. This same thing had occurred at the party in the opera house, after all, and they could expect no less from Hades. Fortunately, he was not disappointed in his expectations of his allies either - in the split second he'd drawn his sword, they had readied their weapons and joined into combat. Amidst the loud crack of gunfire and the boy's yells, Death's blue-edged blade made short work of numerous Heartless, cutting a swath through the mass of creatures, the battle made all the easier by the fact that the Heartless' attention was on those with hearts - Death's attacks hit unnoticing unprepared creatures, taking them out quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, effective as the sword was, he could only take so many creatures at a time, and while he was making a dent in the oncoming mass, it was a small one. And the boy was overwhelmed...

He moved in to join the group, slicing cleanly through the Heartless that Harry and Murphy had not yet hit. He recognized banter - humans sometimes did this in times of duress - and believed the pun (obviously meant to deal with the fire) to be less important than the battle at hand.

This, of course, did not stop him from replying. DON'T WORRY. I PREFER TO REMAIN UNATTACHED.
