Facing away from the meerkat, Vexen couldn't see the glare, but he could feel it prickling at the back of his neck. Quite simply, he didn't care - he had the upper hand and knew it.
"Oh, I would," he retorted smoothly, turning to face the meerkat with syringe in hand. "I've seen your type. Plenty of sound and fury, but nothing to back it up, and once you learn your weaknesses..." He paused, idly flicking at the needle of the syringe, an action that would normally settle any liquid contained but had no effect on the pure light within. "Well, there's nothing left."
The smirk on his face was certifiably malicious as he approached his victim. "Something I've wanted to do for a long time," was the reply as he carefully sunk the needle into the meerkat's arm and depressed the plunger.
Never let it be said that Vexen did not enjoy his work.
