Timon noted the concern in Larsa's voice, and immediately recognized it went to seeing his missing friend again, regardless of the absent name. He nodded, but the smile that had taken residence on his face vanished. Even good news came with its share of bad, and unfortunately being the barer of one often meant he was of the other as well. His lip twisted, as though it were trying to prevent a response.
“Yes, there is, actually.” He answered, watching a hostess fill their glasses with water. “I’ve spoken to many of the victims myself. However, there have been a small few that did not return, and even those who do return don’t exactly appear at their best. The Organization, the ones responsible for the kidnappings, want results, mind you. They’ll try to crack any egg, and by any means necessary. Many of their victims undergo experimentation with light and darkness, as well as, ugh, torture. That’s more than enough to send someone off the deep end, if you know what I mean.”
The rodent sighed and looked down at his menu. “I don’t know what exactly they’re trying to accomplish with these terrible experiments, I just know it’s not good. The Organization has never been up to anything even moderately favourable. I suggest you keep away from them; they’re not as friendly a bunch a they want you to think. The kidnappings should make that obvious enough. Not only that, but they’re incredibly powerful too. You couldn’t take them on yourself, even if you wanted to. I only know one guy who’s ever taken a member down, and even then, they were back on their feet in a matter of time.”
Thoughtfully tapping a ‘finger’ against his chin, he raised a brow suspiciously at the prince. “To save us time before I get into any big explanation, how much have you heard about these guys so far, anyway?”
