There was nothing, and then there was something. Vincent stood in complete contrast to what he was expecting.

He was expecting nothing but dark skies and a small lake ahead of him, but when he walked from the cave, he so often visited, there was something different greeting him.

It happened quickly, within a blink of his eyes and he was elsewhere.

He stood confused in what seemed to be a line to enter this large dome shaped world. The people before him, unrecognizable, the people behind him the same. There was no interest of difference between his peers within the line, and there was no power to observe further detail, only that the line was moving. One by one, they entered and he was coming close for his turn.

The whole thing was making his stomach turn and he gritted his teeth as he flexed a fist to his side. Like an impeding desire to do nothing but take his turn in line was coming over him.

It was his turn and he said nothing, but took his journal, he didn't even give a name and he saw that it did not matter for he was still ushered within the gate.

Once in he realized the crowd of a line began to disperse and scatter like rain drops on the glass window of a car. They all moved away, but in the same direction, further into this new place.

He found a somber solace in deviating with the others, and he led his steps astray from the crowd.
