Larxene Will Be Your Instructor [Active]
Character(s): Larxene, Rogue
Content: Larxenebrainwashes trains Rogue.
Setting: a section of Larxene's lairbrary
Time: this covers a fair amount of time
Warnings: not sure yet
Larxene had been rather busy lately. Between fights and information gathering, she had had little time for much else. But now she had set aside some time especially for training Rogue to use her powers--amongst other things. And so she warped into the room she had set aside for the girl, smiling sweetly and pocketing the journal she had been given. It wouldn't do for her to have any outside contact, after all. It would ruin the effect.
"Shall we begin?"

"Shall we begin?"

She jumped a little at the sound of the portal heralding Larxene's arrival, smiling nervously as she turned to face her new teacher. Such a simple little question, with so much potential to change her life.... Swallowing hard to steady herself, Rogue nodded, voice as confident as she could make it. "Please."

Of course, she already knew how she was going to begin, but she wanted to make this seem more natural and friendly. After all, Larxene wanted to be her friend. Or something like that.
"Well, I guess we'll start at the beginning, so to speak. Who you thought you were? That's not who you are. You're something more than that--better."
She nodded. "Do you understand?"

And so with that, she mentally steeled herself to step over the threshold as Larxene began--only to stop short and frown in confusion. She already knew she wasn't who she thought she was--that had all been shattered weeks ago. A normal girl couldn't put her boyfriend into a coma with a mere kiss. But more.... better? Maybe this was just supposed to be a pep talk. "How can I be better if all I can do is hurt people?" At least Larxene's portals were useful....

Too easily manipulated for it to take years. Too vulnerable. Too easily preyed upon. It was a good thing Larxene had gotten to her first.
"Right now all you can do is bad things with your powers because you're still clinging to what you were," Larxene said. "You must become someone else in order to gain full use of your powers. Rather, you must accept that you are someone else."

That brief satisfaction melted away as Larxene started explaining, replaced by confusion. "Why-why can't I just be me? I'm not--I wasn't a bad person...." Wasn't, anyway. Now, she wasn't so sure. The knowledge made her stomach churn--she knew she was no longer who she had been, who she had believed herself to be. But who--what--did she have to become? How would her identity influence her powers?

She smiled so sweetly, as if this was a perfectly obvious thing, as if there was nothing so dramatic about asking someone to stop being themselves. But this was what Larxene wanted, and would get out of Rogue--someone new, molded by her. Someone who would be useful and loyal.
"Right now, you are a bad person."
