Kid bit her lip, staring at the ground as she continued on. "I can," she admitted quietly, "and I dunno anyone else." Best to err on the side of caution, however, even if her next words were kind of true. "I dunno how I can o it, or why... I just can." She didn't know what foolishness was causing her to say this, but she Was still a child, in her own way, and she was alone in a huge, sprawling place with no one she knew.

"I wonder how this place can reach through time," she wondered aloud. "And why we're all here. There must be some reason for it." They couldn't all be here uselessly, and Kid wasn't dead after all. What was going on?
