A Lone Esper in Paixao [Complete]

Character(s): Terra Branford
Content: Yet another visitor arrives in Paixao; but not only does Terra have to worry about being pulled from her world into a totally different one, but another matter of importance occurs to her.
Setting: Vanaheim Gate
Time: Mid-Afternoon
Warnings: None!

At least, some of the espers. Terra admittedly held onto the foolish hope that just maybe, some of the espers were still alive behind the Espers Gate back home. Odds are that this wasn't the case, but she couldn't help but hope. The thought that she was the last of her kind was ... depressing. To make matters worse, when she and her friends were preparing to follow after Kefka and Gestahl to the Floating Continent -- something strange happened.

Terra had felt dizzy and overtired all of a sudden. Her body didn't respond to her insistence of following behind her friends. She felt herself fall forward, and the next thing she knew, she was lying on the ground outside the gate of some ... city of a sort. To say she was confused was a bit of an understatement. "Where is everyone...?" Terra murmured, for her surroundings didn't look anything even close to familiar. "Locke? Edgar?" She called out anxiously, to no response. "Father, where -"

Terra gasped. The Magicite containing the soul of Maduin, her father, was gone, and she couldn't remember if she had given it to one of her friends to learn a spell, or if someone had stolen it off of her while she was unconscious. Unease settled in the pit of her stomach as she hurried towards a line leading into the city. Before she could ask the person in charge if they had seen anything, one of the attendants pushed a .. a.. thing - a journal? into her hands and ushered her onwards after informing her of her location. Paixao? It was definitely nowhere Terra had heard of.

No.. As much as she hated even thinking it, Maduin, would have to wait. She needed to scout things out and see if the others were here first, and then she would need to find out of the worst had happened.
