"I'll go with you," she said. "It might not be the best of ideas to split up under the circumstances." Flashes of Paraiso played in Lara's mind, and she unconsciously grit her teeth, unwilling to let anything similar play out again - even with a perfect stranger.

The archaeologist turned off her flashlight to allow it to recharge, and reloaded her guns - she didn't have any ammo left at the moment but what she had just put in them.
