Lara halted for the moment to catch her breath and look around her, quickly scanning the area for any signs of danger. Noting that there seemed to be nothing at the moment, Lara closed her eyes for a few seconds, concentrating on getting her racing heartbeat back to normal and getting her bearings. When she opened her eyes again, she noticed that the strange creatures were still gone.

"Well," she muttered to herself, "that was certainly interesting." Reaching inside her bag, she pulled out more ammunition and reloaded her guns as she walked - no sense in being unprepared, after all.

Especially, Lara realized, half-grim after the unexpected attack, when she didn't know what could happen next.
