Admissions to lacking knowledge and threats. It seemed the Doctor had no finesse whatsoever. "I wish you the best of luck, Doctor," Luxord replied lightly, the darker message beneath his words clear: you'll need it.

If the Doctor wanted to intimidate Luxord, he'd much more than a towering figure and a dark glare. It was, after all, terribly difficult to strike fear into the heart of a man who lacked said heart.

"Enjoy your afternoon, Rose," Luxord addressed the girl, his tone considerably lighter than it had been during his conversation with the Doctor. "Perhaps our next meeting will be under more favorable circumstances." Whether that was threat, guarantee, or innocent statement was up for interpretation; however, Luxord knew exactly which he intended it to be.
