Larxene closed the portal behind her as she stepped out into a room that didn't have any doors. It wasn't far from her library, actually, but she needed somewhere more secluded at times, and this worked well. No one else knew about it, and that made it perfect.

"It's not much, but it's the best place," Larxene said.

The room was of decent size, with a few overstuffed bookshelves, a couch, and a desk. Most of the room was empty space; there was a closet with no door, currently empty, and a connecting bathroom, but it really was sparse.

"You won't have to stay here all the time," Larxene said. "Just for certain parts of the training."

Rogue stepped in through the portal with high hopes and nothing short of amazement, moving to the side to allow Larxene to get by. "It's nice." And she meant it. The room was taken in with admiring eyes; it certainly didn't hold a candle to anything at home.... but compared to her life lately, sleeping on park benches and in the front seats of cars, it was practically a palace. It hardly even mattered that there was no bed. It seemed to have a place to lie down, room to stretch, and a place to stay clean--did she really need anything else?

"Which parts are those?" She had guessed there might be stages--even if just beginning, middle, and end--to this, but she honestly had no idea how one trained for this sort of thing. "Where else will I be?" She didn't want to sound ungrateful or nosy, but.... well, she was curious.

"I hope it won't take a terrible amount of time," Larxene continued, "but of course it won't be instant. Some things take time."

And this sort of thing would be fun. For Larxene, anyway. She moved to lean against one of the bookshelves.

"Might as well start now, hm? Tell me, how much do you know about your abilities?"

Of course, Larxene had all of Rogue's memories at her disposal. But it would be good to get the girl's perspective on things, and to see just how much information the girl would be willing to share without coercion.

Larxene put on an understanding smile. Feigning emotions was so easy when you didn't have them. "And you absorb something of them?" She hinted, nudging at the part of her power that was most interesting, although knocking someone out simply by touching them could have its uses as well.

"You were glowing before," she said.

How interesting her abilities seemed. And how clueless she was. How scared of her own power. She was just waiting to be molded and used. Larxene was giggling inside; it seemed luck had smiled upon her.

"The citizens are odd~" she said with a nod. "It's almost like you absorbed what they were."

Because, judging by what she could gain from Rogue's memories, that was what she did. If it worked on any kind of abilities, well, the possibilities were endless.

Larxene smiled and proceeded to lie. "No one's really sure," she said. "They're just... As they are. I don't think they're human, really. But I'm sure you noticed."

She stretched casually. "Though maybe they're just a bit different--you can't really tell, after all."

Larxene liked how the girl was willing to just agree. Sure, she had qualified it, but that Rogue seemed to want to agree was a good quality for what Larxene had in store for her. She stood.

"I'll let you get settled," she said. "I have something to attend to, but I'll be back to begin your training later."

She was very busy lately. Not that she minded. When things were working out as they were, how could she?
