Of all the things the sky pirate had been expecting, the loss of his ride--especially in the manner that it had occurred--was not one of them. Balthier wondered just what had come over the carpet, and stared after it as it flew off. It seemed giddy enough about leaving, even if it was so sudden. It was a disappointment--a very, very, very large disappointment--but there was little to do about it at the moment, so he settled on a brief frown before turning back to matters at hand. This would be remedied at a later date.
