Between talking to (or at, more accurately) Rufus Shinra over the journals earlier and having to meet with a man who should have been dead twice over, Cid was not at all in a good mood. On the other hand, the shop was at least clean if smelling vaguely of cigarette-smoke, and he'd managed to scrounge up both a teapot and some tea as well as what he'd hoped would be enough cups.
He'd even managed to convince himself that having Venus Gospel in his hand when he went to answer the door wasn't particularly likely to get things off to a good start - or whatever passed for 'good' when he was going to be meeting with the two people he'd most wanted to never have to deal with again. And try though he might he couldn't quite keep the scowl off of his face upon answering the door only to see Sephiroth standing there.
