He couldn't help but feel there was some ulterior motive although that could just be paranoia, something that could be easily obtained when hanging around the Organization. However his suspicions were confirmed when Ed announced he'd rather have Nina not go along with him.

Repliku more or less agreed that when going out to meet a stranger you have never met before and probably comes from a different world, it was best not to take a small kid with you. He doubted Nina would let go though. He understood the desire to stick together but it was up to Ed.
