Suspicious meeting? Us? Naaaah [Complete]
Characters: Macchu Picchu and Rosette
Content: Picchu has something to tell Rosette that can't be said over the journals. The necessary late-night meeting to impart information must, of course, occur.

Content: Picchu has something to tell Rosette that can't be said over the journals. The necessary late-night meeting to impart information must, of course, occur.

Rosette was cold. What on earth had possessed her to make the meeting time this late at night? Some romantic part that fancied midnight meetings and runaway romances like they always happened in the stories, maybe. Or perhaps just a desire not to be seen.
Or maybe because it was easier to slip past an exhausted Chrno than one that was wide awake. He was worried enough about her as it was, and she could tell he hadn't been sleeping - she didn't need to be dragging him out in the middle of the night to meet somebody who may or may not even show up.
Or who may or may not be telling the truth.
She shivered again, not just from the cold this time, finally realizing just why she tended to go everywhere with Chrno. With him, she was safe. Wandering out on her own like this, in the middle of the night nonetheless...well, it was stupid.
But there was nothing for it now. It was going on eleven. She simply unsnapped her holster and ran her thumb nervously over the handle of the Colt .45 within, waiting for this person - damn it, she didn't even know their name - to show up.
