As he'd expected, Chrno was quickly by Rosette's side, and rightly so. It had been a long week, but it puzzled him. Why had she been returned? And like this? Well, answers would come soon enough, for now they had to concentrate on fixing whatever was wrong with her.
The Doctor turned to look to Kit, "Yes, well, sort of, well... actually not really," he replied.
"We weren't even introduced before she was taken right out from under our noses," the Doctor explained as he turned to Chrno, quickly sweeping his gaze over her.
What had they done to her? Something was terribly wrong, that was for sure. She didn't seem to be responding at all, wait, no there... had she just spoken? Well, barely. "We weren't too far away, as luck would have it," he continued to speak in the meanwhile.
"Was she like this when you found her?" the Time Lord questioned Kit as he continued to observe her, trying to get some idea of what was going on.
