Nina gaped at the tent for a moment--it was huge, there must have been lots of funnel cake in there! She all but ran to the gate's entrance and then found herself staring down more food than she had ever seen in one place before. It all looked good, and although funnel cake was her goal, it wouldn't hurt to try out some other food, too.

She climbed onto Alexander's back to get some more height and examined the tables. Alexander seemed interested in the sausages, so maybe she would go get one for him, but her main goal was the section that held all the desserts. Alice had said funnel cake was a dessert, right?

"First, there," Nina said, pointing to the sausages, "then there!" She pointed to the dessert table.

Alexander moved forward at a good clip toward the sausages.
