Itachi smiled, though it was a rather hesitant smile. Maybe it was a good thing, but it was rather frustrating. Naruto had no idea how difficult it was to only half remember something, to see faces with no idea whose they were. He had a feeling that the kid was important, whoever he was, like a brother or something, but not knowing made it hard to figure out why he remembered these things.

"We could try," Itachi replied. "Maybe it'll help." At this point, he really didn't have much to lose whether or not it worked.
