He noticed Karst through a break in the crowd, and his heart jumped involuntarily before he managed to shut it up with logic. She'd said she wouldn't hurt him if he didn't make her mad - or at least, he thought that was what she'd said. He couldn't remember now. But either way, they had to talk, so he just took a deep breath and walked quickly toward her.
