Link didn't have time to react to the black-coated person's instructions before the needle was plunged into his arm, followed by the most exquisite agony Link had ever experienced. His body went rigid as every nerve caught flame.

Quite understandably, Link screamed. A symbol burned brightly on the back of his left hand, burning bright enough to shine through his leather gauntlets.

And then, it was over. Link could scream no more, his chest heaving with every ragged breath as his whole body shook. The mark burned into his flesh smoked softly, revealing the symbol of the Goddesses. The Triforce.

The flame of courage in his soul burning low, Link raised pained eyes to his tormentor defiantly, teeth bared in a breathless snarl.
