Mello grinned tiredly, still lying on top of Matt, letting his heart rate and breathing slow. "Feel welcome yet?" Stupid, but he couldn't think of anything else to say that wasn't ridiculously awkward.
He stretched an arm out, trying to reach for a chocolate bar without moving any other part of his body, but eventually had to give up and roll off, next to Matt. They were still close, but Mello hated even being this far apart. At least right now he did. He was so tired, but almost afraid to fall asleep, afraid this was just a dream that would dissolve on waking, leaving nothing but an ache inside and the faint scent of cigarettes on the air.
