Using his hand that hadn't been groping Mello, he grabbed his lighter again and flicked it on and off. He needed something to occupy his hands before they started to drift to places that were definitely inappropriate for being in public area's. Grinning a little, he shook his head, "I'd die if I got bored. Not too sure how I survived all those years without you. Definitely the most interesting person I know. And besides, you wouldn't be you if you weren't at least a little batshit." Half tempted to steal a bite from the blond's chocolate bar, he decided that wasn't the best idea. "Hmm. Maybe you are."
Matt shrugged, putting his lighter away and taking another drag off his cigarette. Oddly amused, it seemed, for all the smiling he was doing. "Why waste time when we both already know what the other is thinking?" It seemed kind of pointless to Matt to take the piss when he already had a fair idea of what Mello was thinking. Sure, it was fun sometimes, but if Mello had been alone for months, Matt could only imagine what was going through his head as they walked down the street.
Stopping a few steps ahead of Mello, he turned back to face him, canting his head to the side and watching him; confused. Finishing his cigarette fairly quickly, he tossed it into a trash bin nearby, considering Mello's offer. He didn't need cigarettes if he was careful on how many he smoked from then on, and other than that he had no reason to be out. Shuffling back over to stand directly in front of Mello, blatantly invading his personal space, he grinned. "Mm. Yeah. Let's skip it. The stores aren't going anywhere."
