Matt rolled his eyes. "Where's your sense of humor, blondie? Did it die, too?" Sighing, he drank some of his tea -- so not enough sugar -- before grabbing the package of cigarettes again and lighting up another. Chainsmoking, one of the few things he could do in quick succession without being completley and entirely bored with it. Nudging the cup and saucer around the table, he inhaled the smoke through his mouth, exhaling out his nose. It was a simple process, and he didn't have to worry about bothering with his cigarette falling from his mouth when blowing the smoke out.
"Hmm, thanks, blondie." Tipping his chair back, he held onto the table as he found proper balance before releasing it, steadying himself in the seat. He found slight entertainment in the fact he was balancing without much effort, on top of the fact he could fall and make an ass of himself at any moment in time. Not that it would matter.
Back arched, cracking a little as he stretched. He wondered how long it had been since he moved. Last he remembered was the open-fire on him and his car, and anything after that didn't seem to exist. Not that it mattered, he was there and had Mello, so at least that was more than half of what he needed in life. Hearing Mello talk about the 'last time' he was here made Matt feel slightly awkward. He seriously hoped nothing had happened without him knowing or remembering. But the prospect of building another computer system was enough to pull his mind away from the thought. "Yeah? Hmm. Guess I have my work cut out for me for at least part of the time." He pulled another long drag from his cigarette. "The rest of which I can just bug the piss out of you."
