He offered up a rather nonchalant shrug, Matt took another drag off, blowing smoke rings up into the air above his head to keep him remotely entertained.
Not that Mello wasn't.
Flicking the ashes of the cigarette away, he arched an eyebrow, watching as Mello looked him over. Grinning around his cigarette, Matt tipped back onto the two chairlegs again, fingers of his hands laced, placed behind his head. "You know, blondie, most people generally check me out before the first date." He couldn't help it. Inhaling another bout of smoke, he dropped the chair back again, leaning over the table, watching him through tinted goggles; giving roughly the same assessment, making sure Mello was all in one piece and that everything was where it should be. When he realized it was, he went back to smoking and waiting for their drinks.
When they arrived and Mello asked, Matt smirked, flicking some more ashes off. "Unless they're taking Yen here, then yeah. That's all I've got on me. Sorry, Mello." Finishing his cigarette off as quickly as he could, he snuffed it out against the heel of his boot before flicking the remainder of it into the nearby trash bin. "If it pisses you off I'll pay you back once I get whatever it is they use here for currency." He grinned. "Or I'll just work it off, not that it should take much."
