Kaylee Stepped Through Muspelheim... [Open/Active]

Characters: Kaylee, and anyone else around Muspelheim that she runs across (which is everyone who's interested. :D)

Content: Kaylee's ship crashed outside the Muspelheim gate. She ventures into the city, looking for possible machine parts, food, shelter, and some medical facility since she broke her left wrist upon landing.

Setting: Just inside Muspelheim Gate.

Time: Afternoon.

Warning: None except confusion and wonder.

"Oh gou shi," Kaylee cursed half-heartedly, stepping through the large heavy gate and leaving her dear Cricket - completely destroyed on impact - on the otherside. She was not having a good day. Her plan was to fly to Gamma Quadrant and meet an old acquaintance there, but halfway through the asteroid fields a wormhole opened - or what seemed to be a wormhole on her radar - and the gravity overpowered Cricket's engine. Kaylee was glad that she managed not to land herself in pieces - besides the broken wrist - but her faithful ship of two years was now ready for the scrapyard.

Looking around, Kaylee took in the strange lot and its inhabitants. Well, lot was too bland a word, but she had never seen structures like these before, with the wide-paved space and domed rooftop. She strained to see the paintings on the ceiling. If only she still had those binoculars!

Her wrist chose that moment to flare in pain, and Kaylee cringed. "Ouch! Stop it." She said to her arm. "I'll fix you later, AFTER I figure out where the hell this is, okay?" She then shook her arm for emphasis, and cringed again when the motion ignited even more shots of pain.

Kaylee sighed. The ration in her surviving backpack was enough for a few days, but she was covered in soot and some parts of her clothes bore obvious burnt holes. She needed new garments and probably a shower, if she could afford it. The few platinums she had jingled in her pants pocket. Hopefully they accept these here, Kaylee thought. Or else she'd really have to dig up roots.

But to dig efficiently she needed both of her hands. Kaylee shaded her eyes with her right hand - was that a hospital sign there in the distance?
