Yoda kept quiet and let the younglings talk. It would help relive the stress they were all feeling. The new arrival gave him the impression of someone who really liked the sound of his own voice, but he reserved judgment. If talking helped, talk.
As for him, he flipped open his journal and looked through some of the posts. People were disappearing? What was going on, and what kind of a captor would allow his prisoners to communicate with the outside world? Although considering how contained this place seemed to be over all, it probably didn’t matter unless they were trying to incite panic just to see what would happen.
Of this he said nothing to the others. They’d find out soon enough and they needed to relieve some of their anxiety before they moved on to another problem. He needed to look into these disappearances. Everything happened for a reason, perhaps this was why he was here?
