Kaa’s saddened as he heard of six year old murderers. Mankind is such a savage species he thought, the only one that teach their young to hunt themselves. He quickly caught himself and pushed the emotion away, a task made considerably easier by Haku agreeing with him. His smile quickly returned, he couldn’t remember when it had left his face. Mentally he scolded himself.

He couldn’t explain why but getting Haku to agree with him, to help her release herself from her self imposed servitude, made him feel… …happy, and for reasons unrelated to manipulating her into a friendly alliance. It bothered him a little. Why was he feeling like this? Oh well, he pushed this emotion aside as well.

It seemed to Kaa as though he had successfully formed a friendship with the strange girl. The idea of asking her more about herself crossed his mind but he decided he’d pried too much all ready. After a moment he asked “Ssso you’ve been here a while all ready, would you mind ssshowing me around, or do you want to continue people watching?”
