Haku listened intently, wondering if there was some way to tell if a serpent was lying. He supposed that he would have to assume that the creature wasn't lying to him, and go from there. It wasn't like he couldn't deal with the consequences if it came to that.
Haku frowned at Kaa's comments about another "man-cub" as he seemed to refer to people of his age. "That's a shame," the effeminate shinobi told him. "I can't see why someone would be so rude. You seem like a very nice, ah, snake to me."
Haku offered Kaa a smile and extended his arm toward the serpent. "Would you like to come up here? I'm sure it'll be much easier than stretching yourself out like that..."
