"Yeah, let's go." Mello was looking forward to it. You'd think after last time he'd have lost his taste for explosions, but he hadn't. Nothing like a big bang followed by bright fire and destruction to get rid of the taste of boredom that seemed to permeate everything here, like nothing changed and never would.

He turned and walked towards his target without a glance back to see if Matt were doing the same. He knew he was, so why check up on him? The fountain was pretty enough, Mello supposed, all glazed tile and some sort of sculpture in the the middle of it, but that wasn't the point. The point was to attract attention, not rid the landscape of an eyesore. And hell, he'd added fireworks to the bomb, so the explosion would be pretty, too. Hell, maybe someone would think it was part of a celebration of some sort, if they had that kind of thing here. He grinned to himself, his eyes glinting with anticipation and perhaps a slight hint of insanity.

It didn't take too long to set up, though he kept a careful watch around him to see if his actions were attracting attention. Not that he expected the idiots here to have the slightest idea what a bomb looked like. And no one had come to stop him.

All right, done. Mello set it to blow and stepped back, producing another chocolate bar from his pocket and starting to unwrap it as he meandered casually back to their meeting point. Whatever happened, it was sure to be interesting.
