So that was why Danny's aura had always been so green. Even though he'd told her, offhandedly and in secret, it was still something strange to see in person. Ghosts weren't demons, they weren't angels, and they weren't human. And Misha, being a fairly young angel, hadn't quite figured out where in the spectrum they fit -- if they fit at all. After all, Danny was on the opposite end of the scale to Dan, as ironic as that was. Even Misha could understand irony.

And now that Danny had revealed his secret? Misha felt even worse.

It wasn't just that she hated to see her friends fighting, for that was certainly a part of it. And Dan's presence made things dangerous and unpredictable.

But the feelings coming off them? Such malicious rage from Dan, overwhelming guilt and grief from Danny, and betrayal and revenge from Valerie?

They don't know they don't know they don't know... Misha repeated over and over to herself. For they couldn't know that they were hurting her. She could take an ecto-grenade to the wings and be recovered in a few days... but the negative emotions of those she called friends (perhaps not Dan) were crippling.

She ran to them and put one hand on each of their arms. "Please don't fight'su," she pleaded. "We'll just go away'su..."
