As hard as the rain was falling, they were having to nearly shout to hear each other. Vash walked over to him, absently wiping some of the water off his face, though it was quickly replaced thanks to the downpour. He couldn't mind it all that much, considering it was actually water.
"It's supposed to make plants grow!" It was a lucky thing Vash even knew what rain was at all; part of what Rem taught him had been on weather. He knew he'd never pictured it being quite like this. No, it was much better than what he had imagined. Vash dearly hoped that it succeeded. It had been such a disappointment to see that the parks here were fake, to find that every leaf and blade of grass had been made by human hands rather than nature itself.
Now that he was closer, he couldn't help but notice how soaked Jayne was. Vash wasn't uncomfortable yet, but there was no way the other man wasn't. That, and the donut shop was so close by... for a moment, he was torn. But then he reached out to put a hand on the back of his shoulder, urging him in the direction of the bakery, "Come on, let's go inside!"
