... Dinner?

Vexen was half-expecting his soul (a huge problem; it was all he had), but dinner, of all things? But he wasn't going to complain. It was quick, easy, and while somewhat humiliating he supposed there could be worse things she could have asked for.

"Fine. I'm sure you understand me when I say I cannot pay at the moment," Vexen didn't move, looking at his leg warily. He would have to conserve his energy and take only what he had to for now.

"I'll contact you on your journal. Later."

Vexen left then, fading away as opposed to disappearing into mist like he did earlier, almost as if he had simply phased out of existence. If Yuuko looked through the entrance to the second floor, she would have heard the clinking of bottles and the scraping of a table, but Vexen was long gone by then, along with a couple of notebooks and a few potion bottles.

It never occurred to him that he still didn't know his benefactor's name and he didn't care if she had his or not.
