The Rurouni Wanders into Paixao [Completed]
Character(s): Kenshin
Content: The rurouni wanders into the gates of Paixao confusedly.
Setting: Muspelheim Gates
Time: Afternoonish
Warnings: None.
As Himura Kenshin left his master's hut, he was still absorbing his master's words. It did seem Shishou would go help his friends at the Aoi-ya, and while Hiko Sejirou was many things, he was a man of his word. Kenshin would attempt to not worry.
As he walked along, the horrible vision of him in his master's mantle continued to haunt his thoughts. Hiko had been dead serious about passing it on to him. How could he possibly think he could wear it? Letting out an exasperated sigh, Kenshin shook his head. Shishou would never change.
Coming to a stop to rest for a little, he sat beneath a tree, and glanced up at the sky. He didn't have long, the day was well underway. Undoubtedly by now, Saitou was growing annoyed at his disappearance. He could afford a rest for a couple minutes, however.
Closing his eyes for a moment as he suddenly felt a little dizzy, he was shocked when the next thing he knew he was laying on the ground.
Pushing himself up, he confusedly looked around. He had been resting against a tree, but was now no where near one, not to mention this wasn't the mountain side he'd been on. This was ... well ... he really wasn't sure where he was.
Not long later, he found himself standing in a line, in front of a large gate to some domed structure. Kenshin, by this point, had begun to ponder if perhaps he was dreaming. Although, if it was a dream he really needed to wake up, and in a hurry.
Some strange dream, however. Foreigners were everywhere! All blond and blue eyed. The rurouni had never had a dream quite like this. His dreams were usually unpleasant memories of his past, occasionally he had some rather strange ones often involving laundry, but this was almost unbelievable. It felt vividly real!
Perhaps it wasn't a dream, but he could find no possible answer that made any sense. He soon found himself being greeted by the man who seemed to be some sort of gatekeeper and being asked his name.
"Ahh, Himura Kenshin," he replied automatically, after a little hesitation then tilting his head a bit as he was given a strange, metallic object. Smooth and cool to the touch, he nearly dropped it at first in surprise. This place was starting to feel a little TOO vivid.
"Thank you ... very much?" he said politely, although wasn't sure just what it was he'd just been given. He wasn't really sure of anything now.
"Um... Could you tell sessha where this ... is, if you please? This is ... not Japan, is it?"
"Japan? ... I don't know anywhere called that, I'm afraid. This is Paixao. That's all there is to it," the blond haired man replied with a shake of his head, before looking to the person behind Kenshin, repeating the same greeting all over again.
Seemingly not going to glean any further information, Kenshin proceeded through the gate numbly... and was promptly floored as he was greeted with the strangest city he'd ever stepped foot in. Definitely not Japan.
Comically wide-eyed, as his mind turned blank, he was no longer able to process what was going on. Only one thing could be said at times like this...
"Oroooooooo..."
(OOC: I've tossed a lil' tiny RK world glossary at top of Kenshin's profile if ya don't know anything about Ken-nii's odd speech habits etc. ^_^ )
