"Uuuuh..." Rafe began as he moved next to Reno and inspect the controls. With Tseng gone, he was allowed to be more informal. The Turk didn't pull any levers or push any buttons yet, but he did lay a hand over each.

"This is entirely manual. We should've kept him conscious." He gestured over to the knocked-out conducter that they propped against a protruding apparatus. "But since the train's already heading in that direction, we'd just have to put the brakes when needed. I'll handle this while you keep the fire going." Rafe canted his head as he stepped into the conductor's pit, adjusting the mirrors and flicking the chain meant for the whistle. Hand on the largest lever, he grinned at his superior-slum buddy as he put on the puffy conductor's hat. "Please hold onto your belongings, sir! Rafe's riding this baby now."
