Well, that all happened quickly, and Kiara wasn't sure how to react. First, she has this man firing at her... it scares her enough to jump to the side, hissing and baring her teeth up at Xigbar. However, the next thing that startles her by far is Duma coming and protecting her with his wings. Her eyes widen, and she stares at him with utmost concern despite the predictament that got them to this point.

"D... Duma!" she tries to make out properly, the blood easily catching her eye and causing her to lay her ears back in worry. There is the whole problem afterwards of being picked up; she's never been carried by anything that wasn't a lion before ever in her life, and it feels a little awkward at first. She shifts and squirms a moment, before relaxing as much as possible. Kiara's not stupid, she knows if she moves too much, it'll throw off his balance. Even as the glass-like flower that was picked before and tucked to her ear goes shattering into the ground.
