“You’re sorry.”

The tone was flat and dead as Rufus studied the woman. Were she anyone but a Turk, he would have drawn his weapon by now and started firing. His eyes flicked towards the direction of the main engine and back to her, his lips thinning. She had purposely delayed them when it was critical they reach Sephiroth before Kadaj managed to say the wrong thing or somehow find the other man.

“You seem to have accomplished that, Turk.”

Just how much time was this damned breakdown going to cost him? Damn it all! His fingers curled into loose fists, fingernails cutting thin crescents in his palms before he made himself calm down. Were Tseng in front of him, Rufus may have lost his composure for once. Seeing as how the Wutian was not and taking it out on two workers merely following orders would accomplish nothing, Rufus’ mind switched back to the matter at hand.

“Move, Turk. I imagine it’s a long walk to the Central Station. I am not staying here and doing nothing.”
