Subaru looks up from his food, or what's left of it, when Belle spoke up. He gives her a smile for her being considerate, it is nice of her, and it makes him feel nice too. Despite of how badly the day started, meeting the Devil and all, Subaru thinks that maybe it still has hopes of getting better. Raising his hand to signal to the waiter, he turns around to fish his wallet out of his pocket. While getting out the amount of money he predicts would be enough to pay for the meal, Subaru nods at Belle's words of gratitude.

"No problem," he replies while placing the money on the tab, making sure that it is not less than what he should pay. "Come with me if you want," he tells Belle while standing up. Realizing that he probably sounded colder than he intended, he turns to Belle and gives her a slight smile, "You're nice, I don't think Yuzuriha would mind."
