After following the waitress who sat them down near a window, Subaru takes the menu placed on the table and proceeds to stare confusedly at the strange names. He is rather glad that he can read the menu, but it does not help any if he does not recognize any of the names on the menu anyway. "I... will take the house special, I guess," he tries flipping through the pages to find something he might recognize. "I don't recognize anything from here, but the house special should be at least edible." He hopes.

"Are you ready to order?" he asks her before calling for the waitress to come back. He does not want to rush her, really, but he is feeling rather faint and passing out after telling her he would protect her from dangerous people would be very embarassing.
