Nun nun nun nun nun, Beast Boy! [Active]

Character(s): Beast Boy, Kronk, Carbuncle, whoever else pops up.
Content: Beast Boy has decided to hang out around the gate he was sent through, looking around and wondering 'wtf.'
Setting: Nearby Joutenheim inner gate area after being admitted.
Time: Late afternoon close to dusk, week2
Warnings: None yet, except for green shapeshifters.

'So... I'm green...' Beast Boy thought, observing people walk by. He had his chin in his fist, and was swinging one of his legs back and forth while his elbow rested on the opposing knee. He quirked a brow as he watched another blonde blue-eyed roam by, zombie-like as ever. Theory one; they were all clones of one another. Theory two; they were all androids. Yes, creepy androids... Theory three; ... ZOMBIES. LOTS OF ZOMBIES. Theory four; zombie-clone-androids. He crinkled his nose a little, sticking out his bottom lip in a sort of pouty scowl. What the hell was up with this damn place? He shook his head a little, before shifting off his station on a rock--rather shiny one at that, which was hurting his butt--and shifted into a flying squirrel. He hopped up off the ground, with a much-much smaller version of his journal dangling from his neck on the strap he asked for, and he seemed satisfied when he landed on the rock that his theory about the place was correct. It would adjust to his animal forms just as everything else did.

So with that, he jumped off the rock and up towards a tree, scampering along it before gliding to another, lower one. He didn't like these trees, they were rather fake, and he seemed to be the only 'animal' in sight. And in scent distance, as he only smelled weird animal-like smells and he wasn't too sure about them. So he hopped along his branch, calmly making his merry green way over it and to a fence outside a building. Perhaps he could see someone he knew if he kept roaming around... but maybe not too far from the gate, he didn't like the idea of losing where it was... As he had yet to figure out this weird journal thing... Which reminded him of Cyborg, so he made sure to get one that was colored similarly to Cyborg.

So, he just sat there, as a squirrel. He would likely turn himself into something that could actually fly soon enough, just to get a good look around the place. He would enjoy that very much, if he could keep an eye on the ground below him. But, for now, he was just cute.

"Well, I think he understands us, at least," Kronk decided, since the little guy seemed to be picking up their names pretty quickly, even if he wasn't quite able to pronounce them perfectly. And he seemed to have trouble saying the name he gave them, so he obviously wasn't saying it in his own language. Which meant... He was trying to tell them his name in their own language... probably. "Hmm... So you're Carbuncle?" He grinned as he decyphered the word. "I take it you're named that because you have that shiny red jewel on your forehead? Since... that's what a carbuncle is... Unless you're talking about the type of carbuncle that's a rather unpleasant skin condition, but I don't think that really describes you very well..."

Kronk nodded in agreement. "Yeah... He may not be completely human, but he's human enough to draw some attention. We'd better find a clothing store or a tailor... or goodwill... Or maybe just a sympathetic citizen. Plenty of places to look for clothes... In fact... We should probably check out that map again and see what we can find..."

He took out his journal and opened it, trying to emulate what he'd seen Beast Boy doing with his journal. He got it wrong at first and ended up looking at a blank text box to write a message in, then tried another button and was pleased to see the map come up on his screen. "Hey, these things aren't that hard to use," he decided, scrolling back and forth on the map and playing with the zoom buttons. "Seems pretty user-friendly..."

"So which store should we go to?" Kronk said, checking some of the various shops around town. "There seem to be a lot of general stores in the area, but none that are listed as specificially selling clothing. Oh, wait, except... Here we go... Oh... Hm... Ah, no... Not that one. It's an adult store..." He glanced down at Carbuncle and shook his head. "We can't take him there... They wouldn't carry his size."

The large man shook his head. "I guess we'll just have to try one of the other stores and hope they carry clothing as well. Which one should we try first?"

"Hm... There's a place called Cid's Shop not too far from here," Kronk said, looking at the nearest store. "Not sure what it sells. There's very little information on here. But there's another shop called... Auntie Unde's a little way further. Says that one's a general store. We could probably find something there if not at Cid's. Oh yeah... That sounds like a plan..."

Kronk looked down at the now-canine Beast Boy, chuckling in amusement. "Oh, changed again, have you? You sure are good at that... I bet that comes in handy when you need to decorate for holidays... You can just turn into a bird and fly on up to the roof."

Kronk nodded knowingly, even though he had no tail of his own. "Yeah, he could jar the bones in his tail or get a sprain or possibly even break it if he fell hard enough." The last option wasn't very likely, but he mentioned it anyway, because it ~was~ technically possible. "We'll have to help him along until he gets used to walking on his own. He can lean on me or something..."

He crouched down to help Carbuncle back up, so the little summon could climb on Beast Boy's back for a ride. "We'll work on that once we get you some clothes. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be able to teach you to walk before too long. It's like riding a hang glider. Takes a little practice, but once you've got it, you'll be the ruler of the skies, flying with the birds, soaring through the clouds, and looking down at all the little people down below... You know they look kinda like ants when you're that high up... It's amazing... At least, until lightning hits you and your wings burn off and you go into a tailspin and hurtle towards the ground and crash in a flaming wreck..."

Kronk looked pensive for a moment, then he grinned and patted the summon on the shoulder, "Of course, you'll already be on the ground, since you're going to be learning to walk."

"It came from experience, actually," Kronk told Beast Boy, although for once, he didn't elaborate on what had happened. Instead, he started off as his friend had suggested, walking at a slower pace at first so Carbuncle could have a little time to get used to his ride and wouldn't fall off from the motion. "But we'll make sure this little guy doesn't have those kinds of experiences... Ones related to walking, I mean, not hang gliding. Because we don't have a hang glider here, for one thing, and we're technically indoors, for another. I don't think we'd actually ~get~ lightning in these domes."

As he mentioned the domes, Kronk stared appreciatively up at the 'skies' overhead, "Whoever built this place must have been amazing with architectural design. I wonder what kind of materials they used to build the dome with..."

"If that's boredom, I'd love to see what they make when they really put their mind to it," Kronk said, still in appreciation of what seemed like, to him, an amazing feat in design and creativity. The sky definitely took some artistic license, but that was to be expected. It was a work of art, after all... And somehow they managed to make it move, as well. That wasn't like any kind of paint Kronk had ever seen. "Wonder if the one who made it is still around... I'd like to meet him and ask how he did it. Or her, if it's a woman. Maybe I'll ask around about that later, and see if anyone knows about it..."

He continued to stare at the sky for a moment, then finally snapped out of it when he stumbled over a loose cobblestone. "Whoops... Careful there," he advised himself, turning his eyes back to the streets ahead of them.
