Into the unknown [Active]

Character: Raven & Kanda Yuu
Content: Raven attempts to leave the city through the Joutenheim gate, but is unable to and goes with plan B. Kanda ends up seeing her though, and invites himself along.
Setting: In front the Joutenheim Gate
Time: Late morning
Warnings: N/A

Just like she said she would, it was time for Raven to actually see how far she could go while outside of the domes. Searching inside had yielded absolutely nothing as far as information went, which was what she and everybody else who had been taken away from their respective worlds needed right now.

Leaving her rented apartment, Raven headed for the nearest gate, which was Joutenheim. Ironically, that was the also the same gate she walked through when first arriving. Once there, she was greeted with the familiar sight of blonde-haired men and women writing down their names and being handed their journals before passing through into the city. Also recognizable was the man in charge of making sure that everything went smoothly. Well, she assumed it was the same guy. One couldn’t really tell who was who when everybody virtually looked the same.

Unneeded reminiscing aside, Raven headed into the gate, not stopping for anything. The man in charge was quick to notice her though.

“And where do you think you're going, little lady?” He said to her, gently placing an arm on her shoulder.

Raven quirked an eyebrow and gave him a stare that suggested that he remove his hand from where it was, which he did. “Outside, and don’t ever call me that again.”

“O-Outside?" His eyes widened slightly, seemingly ignoring the threat Raven had just directed at him. “Did you forget something…?”

“No.”

“Then why do you want to go?”

“Because.”

“Because what?”

“I feel like it.” Not waiting for a response, Raven started to move, but the man put himself in front of her and the gate’s exit.

“S-Sorry” He shook his head. “I can’t let you through once you come in through these gates.”

“Why not?” She asked, getting more annoyed with how stubborn and annoying he was being.

“Those are the rules.”

“Who’s rules?”

“Errr… I…” He seemed to be getting increasingly nervous the more Raven expressed her intentions of leaving. “Please, just go back, you’re distracting me.” Not wanting to be around her anymore, the man left and went back to attend the line and take care of the new arrivals.

“Rules huh…”With a scowl on her face, Raven left the gate and walked along the inner wall of the dome. That didn’t go quite as well as she thought it would. But it was alright. After all, there was more than one way to leave this city… Once far enough, she looked around, making sure that nobody was watching. Placing a hand on the wall, Raven concentrated her powers. A black aura emanated from her hand and grew along the wall, forming a large circular shape.

“Rule overridden.” She said, heading towards the ‘portal’ that had been made…
