Tying up loose ends. [Completed]

Character(s): Kadaj, Morrigan
Content: Kadaj makes a (pathetic) attempt at masking his identity as Daath, and on the way runs into Morrigan.
Setting: Morrigan’s Mansion
Time: Monday2 early evening
Warnings: ... PANTIES? And nudity. D: Morrigan warning in general?

Why did this place have to be so damn big?!

Kadaj gritted his teeth slightly as he stalked down the hall towards Axel’s room, a little unnerved at how empty the place seemed. The elegance and beauty of the place only seemed to add to this quality, and even the presence of the blonde-haired, blue-eyed servants that he caught sight of performing duties for their mistress did nothing to detract from it. Whether it was the nature of the servants themselves or that of the owner of the mansion herself, he couldn’t tell—but then maybe it was because of his own feelings then?

He turned his mind away from these thoughts, trying to bring his focus back to the task at hand. Waltzing outside in the uniform of one of the Organization would be nothing less than suicide, he knew, so he had to get rid of it. It probably wouldn’t make much of a difference in the end, really. If anything it would only delay the inevitable, but any extra time he could buy himself was something he could not go without. And maybe, just maybe, it would be enough time for him to find his mother…

The entrance to the other Nobody’s room was easy enough to locate, the large door providing enough prompting for him to finally pull himself away from his thoughts. He opened it slowly, some of his earlier urgency seeming to leave him. Stepping inside, he shut the door behind him and looked around, unsurprised to find Axel nowhere in sight. Judging by how unlived in the room looked, he hadn’t spent much time here at all…

Shaking his head slightly to clear it, he walked further into the room, casting his gaze around for his old jacket. Going by what Axel said in their earlier conversation, it sounded like he was still in possession of it. Kadaj had just started rifling through one of the drawers of the elaborate dresser when he realized—Axel didn’t have any other jacket with him. After the two of them had left the Savage Garden, all that they had with them were a single journal (Axel’s), and the clothes on their backs, or, more accurately, their legs, since they were both wearing just their pants and boots. So that must mean… his jacket was still in the garden, under Paixao.

Kadaj swore loudly, slamming the drawer shut and turning to glare around the room. Now that he thought of it, he didn’t even remember wearing a jacket up until he got the long coat he was now wearing—was that his memory returning to him, finally? He shut his eyes and forced himself to think, trying to trace things back…. Before the mansion, they had checked the Ecos na Catedral for Zexion, and before that, the Morem o Lisboa, and before that, the Garden… he felt a headache coming on as he tried to think about what had happened before all of that, but there was nothing…

He opened his eyes again, glaring now as he looked around again. He couldn’t remember. But he knew there had been a jacket…

Growling to himself, he started shedding the coat he was wearing, suddenly feeling rather sick of it. Axel could just keep both of them, then. He had taken away everything else from him, so why not give him his clothes while he was at it?

He stepped out of the room once more, thinking nothing of wandering the halls again in search of his next goal. So there was nothing he could do about clothes… great. All that remained now was to find a way to cover the marks Axel had left behind. Maybe some makeup would work… where would he makeup in this hellish place?

… Morrigan’s room.

Damn it.

Grimacing now, he started off in that direction, ignoring more servants that stepped past him, refusing to acknowledge their queries about where he was going, if he needed their help... laughable. They would only get in his way now, delay him on his quest. He had to get out of here and find Mother—that was what was important now.

Now if only that didn’t mean searching through Morrigan’s room, half-naked, looking for makeup…

It was just as easy to find as Axel’s room had been, luckily enough, but actually entering it was something else entirely. Kadaj stared at the door, examining every inch of it in minute detail as a further delaying tactic before finally letting himself inside. Maybe she would be out somewhere too…

He breathed an audible sigh of relief as he saw the room was empty, and he gave only a cursory look around to situate himself before making a beeline towards the vanity. Apparently Morrigan was a tidy creature, though, for the top of the dressing table had no makeup conveniently placed on it somewhere for him to find. Even when she wasn’t around, Morrigan still made trouble for him, didn’t she? With another small growl, he jerked open the nearest drawer to him reaching into it….

Bad idea.

The drawer, as it turns out, contained nothing less than a massive amount of skimpy, lacy, and otherwise uncomfortable looking but undeniably sexy underwear—no bras, just lots and lots of panties. Kadaj started disbelievingly at one for a moment, holding it up slightly.

The only thing that could make this moment worse, he thought, would be if Morrigan were to walk in.
