The Gypsy and the Journal [Solo/Closed]

Character(s): Hitsugaya
Content: Yet another shinigami, Toushirou Hitsugaya, has entered Paixio but is deeply puzzled by such an odd place.
Setting: Joutenheim
Time: Friday Morning
Warnings: None

It took quite awhile for the little captain’s eyes to adjust to the morning sun. What had that light been? The last thing he remembered was simply taking a walk when the light had engulfed him. Something similar had happened before when Aizen, Gin, and Tousen had disappeared into Hueco Mundo… but this was more of a flash rather than a beam. Rubbing his eyes, Hitsugaya looked around. Surely this wasn’t the Soul Society?

Instead of the usual scenery, the shinigami found that he was in front of a great gate. It was beautifully carved and portrayed two giants whose clubs clashed above their heads. He simply stood unmoving and frowned at the two stone guardians. Where was he? It certainly was not Earth because Hitsugaya had not entered in the usual fashion of the Gates. So where, for the second time, was he?

His small hand found its way to the handle of Hyourinmaru. At least he wouldn’t be defenseless in this place. It wasn’t so much that Hitsugaya doubted that he was safe or wouldn’t be able to survive here but it certainly ruined his day! He still had to finish that paper work for the other captains who disappeared…

A thought suddenly snapped through his mind as his eyes simultaneously grew very large in realization. Was this where Matsumoto and the others have gone? They had disappeared so quickly… and suddenly… Perhaps he could find them…

Hello…!” a very jubilant voice rang through the silence. Surprised, Hitsugaya turned to find a gypsy-like man with almost unnaturally blond hair. “You’re new here… aren’t you?” this man asked playfully.

“What the hell do you want?” Hitsugaya spat with a blunt tone that still had an essence of lingering surprise. Who was this man?

“Oohh… I think I have something you may like!” the gypsy exclaimed despite the captain’s comment. Suspiciously, he reached into his coat and as a conditioned reaction Hitsugaya unsheathed zanpaktou. Soon, however, he found he did not need it. The strange man forced a silver, rectangular device. The taichou found he was staring in wonder for quite sometime before he noticed the man had disappeared.

“I hate people like that…” He groaned. Hitsugaya found his interest suddenly returning to the box. He fiddled with it for a few moments before he found it could… unfold in a sense. In side there was a smooth black surface and many buttons that each had letters and words on them. The captain actually found he was tinkering with it more and more. Let’s just say that being a child genius had some major perks. Soon enough the small device was running and Histugaya had even found its purpose: an “electronic journal”. He remembered hearing about similar things on Earth that humans used. How pointless…

After tinkering with the journal a little longer it found its way hidden in Hitsugaya’s kimono. The shinigami carefully made his way through the great gates. He would have to be careful now. The man was odd enough and so was the world.

Who knew what he’d run into next…
