Content: Colette the clumsy waitress brings you food!
Setting: Jountenheim's Cheap Eats
Time: Lunchtime-afternoon, Week 40
Warnings: None yet!

Anybody who went to Jountenheim’s Cheap Eats today to have a bite to eat may get their clothes dirty.

Today was Colette’s first day as a waitress at the restaurant. She just went for a bite to eat and heard from some of the staff that the place was a little short of waiters. Considering the fact that she had no real lead on how to help everyone get out of Castle Oblivion and back home and that Zelos told her that it was okay to relax a little (although she still did worry about home to some extent) and because she was not the type to turn away from somebody in need, Colette agreed to help and so she was hired.

So far, however, she was exactly having a great day at work. The restaurant was surprisingly packed that day and she was having a problem remembering some of the right orders for the right tables. Not to mention that Colette was not exactly known for her balancing skills. Therefore, a few times, she actually had to go back to the kitchen and process the orders again, thanks to her occasionally tripping and spilling food over the place.

[Multi-thread logs allowed! Comment if you want Colette to spill wine/food all over you or break your glass or plate from her tripping over. Or if you just want her to serve the food or just talk with her, that’s also fine. Just ordering from her is cool as well. Whatever!]

"Dessert, huh? Sounds good! I'll take it." He snapped the menu closed. "Oh, and can I get a piece to go as well?"

He's sure Dagger would appreciate it; if he went and grabbed something without her, he very well should bring something back to make up for it, after all.

Zidane jumped and cringed a bit at the voices, but smiled when she came back with his food.

"Thanks. Hey, someone giving you a tough time?" he asked, a bit worried. She looked like she could use a break. "Need me to go and soften 'em up for you?" He was all set to, too! No one should pick on cute girls. That just... went against rules!

Whatever rules those were.
theherotail: (What're you even talking about?)

"You sure? I really don't mind." Despite being skeptical, he settled back into his chair. It looked delicious! He didn't hesitate to dig in. "Hey, I do have a question for you though," he asked while he ate. He's got manners, sometimes, just not so much right now. Besides, the question's been niggling him. "Are you a native? I mean, I know not every blonde-haired-blue-eyed person is native - I'm certainly not - but you have a job and all so... I was just wondering."

Clearly getting a job never really occurred to Zidane.

He continued to eat, nodding to her words.

"Sylvarant, huh? Never heard of it, but then there's a lot of other worlds people mention here. I'm from Gaia myself. I'm Zidane, by the way. Hope you don't get in trouble for talking to me." He peered towards the kitchen, as though daring anyone to come out and make a fuss.
theherotail: (What? Treasure hunting you say?)

"What?" He blinked, wondering a bit about how she came to think that and not understanding. "No, no. Company makes meals all the more better. You look like you could use a break, anyway." Maybe it would help things out here if she had some rest, though the customers might disagree.
theherotail: (How can you resist this face?)

No worries!

Zidane was a born liar, so he could pick up a little of her own deceit, but he didn't call her on it and let it slide. He couldn't blame her for toughing it out.

"Well, I'll make sure to leave you a good tip!" They'll have to keep her around then, huh? "Hey, I never got your name."
theherotail: (Charming Zidane is charming)

He picked up on the voices and glanced towards the kitchen, a bit startled. That... sounded strange. But. You know what. Maybe he shouldn't ask. There were some things he was better off not knowing, after all.

But the voices did give him something he could use. "So it's Colette, then?"

He laughed a bit and finished up his food, fishing a hand into his collection of "shiny things" from a pouch. He almost wanted to give the girl some of the gil he still had, but it really would probably just be a waste. Gil, leaves. The natives here didn't see any difference between the two.

He put a bunch on the table. "Thanks for the food, Colette. That should cover the bill and tip." He winked.
